Don2....

I heard somebody saying that " Ra One was better than this..."...With this lines I would like to set the mood for another Shahrukh Khan action thriller Don2....

Continuing from the last series which originally was a remake of a retro hit; Don2 has nothing much to offer in true sense and is weak in the vital part of any movie, ie story or script.

Movie is about mission of Don to be a billionaire and how he picks up his squad and outlines the always changing strategy in between some breathtaking escapades. Something remotely in relation to movies we have already seen like Ocean Elevens..

The film is unintentionally hilarious at moments thanks to attempted romantic scenes between the 2 protagonists. Also even some intense scenes look funny; like a criminal bundling up with police team headed by guest Interpol officers or the encounters between Don and Jabbar Khan..

Talking about the protagonists the film has descent presence of a bunch of characters but except Shahrukh rest of the characters doesn’t have too much to offer...

Starting with Shahrukh himself he has played a character in conjunction with his name of King Khan, he gives over-confidence a whole new dimension, nothing can go wrong with him even in most adverse situations be it driving a car, rescuing the mission or name it he can do for you.

Priyanka has made a sincere effort to look good , I guess the same attempt if she would have paid on script selection might have done wonders for her Bomman irani's presence has not been momentous and whatever portions if he appears in doesn’t do the job, Om Puri is noticeable at moments by and large as a regulation. Kunal Kapoor looks ok in his small cameo and does add a modest spice level for the filtrate of anxiety in the movie...

Be it be a Bollywood/Hollywood movie we know the mission will be accomplished at any cost so the real art lies in how it is publicized which in cinematic sense, drills down to screenplay and sadly enough justice has not been done here.... the movie has its moments but lacks sincerity . So a bulk of this ownership lies in direction which in my opinion has made the movie suffer, at times I felt like pinching myself to check my consciousness that is he the same guy who has movies like Dil Chahta hai, Lakhsya in his portfolio. Farhan has made an candid effort to raise the standards but in the attempt the story has been sacrificed.

Music is like a boon for somebody who wants to buy a bucket of popcorn as its good to be left out..

Don2 is typical Bollywood movie with all Hollywood special effects and all credit should be given to technicians for making a brave effort to match the international standards. With all the super effects and star cast the film could have been much better than what it actually comes out; slight tuning in the script and dialogue department would have added the missing links... In terms of rating its 2 out of 5....Watch it only if you like Shahrukh too much as I doo or you want to have a sightseeing tour of bouquet of international destinations
